More States and Counties Now Opposing Agenda 21 – August 30, 2012
Wyoming, Montana, Minnesota, Washington, Oklahoma, Iowa, Texas, South Dakota, Wisconsin, and Arkansas have all passed Resolutions Opposing Agenda 21 (Sustainable Development, and Smart Growth). More counties are also passing such resolutions. Some of these have exact or almost exact language as the Republican National Committee Resolution. That resolution can be found at this link but is almost identical to the Wyoming Resolution below:http://www.wpaag.org/agenda_21__rnc_resolution_opposing%20Agenda%2021.htm ) Iowa calls Agenda 21 a “diabolical collusion.
Agenda 21 is the United Nations agenda behind bike trails (for recreation now but for transportation in the future) and the control of private property in order to build high density housing (managed land use). Environmentalists’ view is that cars produce more greenhouse gases than any other activity in our country, and high density housing will reduce the use of cars and push people into using public transit instead of cars.
I received an email from a Floridian yesterday saying “I found your anti Agenda 21 list on the internet. You may find this this info helpful. Also there is anti Agenda 21 language in the 2012 GOP Platform that was just approved at the Tampa Convention. He sent me an up- to-date list of states and counties. I looked up all these links and have included the language (or t least most of it) found in these platforms listed below.
34. Resolution Opposing United Nations Agenda 21 (Wyoming GOP Platform)
Whereas the United Nations Agenda 21 is a comprehensive plan of extreme environmentalism, social engineering, and global political control that was initiated at the United Nations Conference on Environment and Development (UNCED) held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in 1992; and
Whereas the United Nations Agenda 21 is being covertly pushed into local communities throughout the United States of America through the International Council of Local Environmental Initiatives (ICLEI) through local ”sustainable development” policies such as Smart Growth, Wildlands Project, Resilient Cities, Regional Visioning Projects, and other “Green” or “Alternative” projects; and
Whereas this United Nations Agenda 21 plan of radical so-called “sustainable development” views the American way of life of private property ownership, single family homes, private car ownership and individual travel choices, and privately owned farms; all as destructive to the environment; and
Whereas according to the United Nations Agenda 21 policy, social justice is described as the right and opportunity of all people to benefit equally from the resources afforded us by society and the environment which would be accomplished by socialist/communist redistribution of wealth; and
Whereas according to the United Nations Agenda 21 policy National sovereignty is deemed a social injustice; now therefore be
RESOLVED, the Wyoming Republican Party recognizes the destructive and insidious nature of United Nations Agenda 21 and hereby exposes to the public and public policy makers the dangerous intent of the plan; and therefore be it further
RESOLVED , that the U.S. government and no state or local government is legally bound by the United Nations Agenda 21 treaty in that it has never been endorsed by the (U.S.) Senate, and therefore be it further
RESOLVED, that the federal and state and local governments across the country be well informed of the underlying harmful implications of implementation of United Nations Agenda 21 destructive strategies for “sustainable development” and we hereby endorse rejection of its radical policies and rejection of any grant monies attached to it.

We recognize the destructive and insidious nature of the Untied Nations Agenda 21 and hereby expose to the public and public policy makers the dangerous intent of the Agenda 21 plan.

Not only should the United States abstain from surrendering its national sovereignty to the United Nations or any other international organization, but we believe the United States should end its participation in the United Nations, Agenda 21, the World Bank, and the International Monetary Fund altogether.

Section 16: We believe the preservation of LIBERTY is dependent upon the sanctity of our NATIONAL SOVEREIGNTY.
The US Constitution is our supreme law of the land. The President shall not negotiate and the Senate shall not ratify any treaties, U.N. resolutions, agendas or foreign law, religious or otherwise, that are contrary to the US Constitution.Agenda 21, the Kyoto Protocol, Sharia Law, and others threaten our sovereignty. Therefore, judges, state and local authorities must be barred from using foreign agendas, laws, and resolutions for the purposes of interpreting United States law.
28. We support strengthening protections for homeowners against arbitrary zoning change, which damage property values and oppose “Sustainable Development”.
5. We support a free market-based public transportation system as opposed to government funding.
6. We oppose public-private partnerships and the use of eminent domain to build and operate toll roads and bridges.
6. We oppose the adoption of any United Nations sustainable development “Agenda 21”initiatives into the governmental planning authorities, policies, or body of law of the United States of America.

2.13 We demand that the term “sustainable development” be defined, vetted, and controlled by county and state agricultural agencies whose private property it impacts rather than the UN, other international or Agenda 21 agencies, or any federal organization.
9.6 We strongly oppose the diabolical collusion of the United Nations in establishing the unconstitutional “sustainable development agenda 21” in our local communities, our state and our nation.
11.6 We oppose any treaty that would regulate the use of Iowa lands and waters such as the UN Agenda 21 plan, which is being implemented throughout the United States and which restricts or destroys the property rights of Americans under the guise of environmentalist initiatives such as Sustainable Development, Smart Growth, Wildlands Project, Resilient Cities, Regional Visioning Projects, and others with similarly “Green” sounding names. United Nations Agenda 21 policy deems America’s national sovereignty a social injustice and Agenda 21 concludes “the only way to make the future sustainable is to reduce America’s living standards and transfer their wealth to developing nations”.
16.9 We call for the Iowa legislature to repeal SF2389 that mandates regional planning for central Iowa through the“Tomorrow Plan”, which is a by-product of Agenda 21.
3.14 We strongly oppose government monies being given to private organizations such as Planned Parenthood, AARP, ACORN, ACLU, and other groups which lobby for policies contrary to the views expressed in this platform. [Note: AARP has received grants for EPA training and sponsored training featuring radical transportation environmentalists speakers like Dan Burden.]

United Nations Agenda 21 -The Republican Party of Texas should expose all United Nations Agenda 21 treaty policies and its supporting organizations, agreements and contracts. We oppose implementation of the UN Agenda 21 Program which was adopted at the Earth Summit Conference in 1992 purporting to promote a comprehensive program of sustainable development projects, nationally, regionally and locally. We oppose the influence, promotion and implementation of nongovernmental organizations, metropolitan and/or regional planning organizations, Councils of Government, and International Council for Local Environmental initiatives and the use of American (Texas) citizen’s taxes to promote these programs.
1.14 The South Dakota Republican Party supports efforts to prohibit the adoption or implementation of policy recommendations that deliberately or inadvertently infringe or restrict private property rights without due process, as may be required by policy recommendations originating in, or traceable to “Agenda 21,” adopted by the United Nations.

Below is some excellent news sent to me by Carolyn McClarty, a National Republican Party Committeewoman from Woodward County in northwest Oklahoma near the panhandle. I met her when I spoke to the Woodward County Republican Women in November about UN Agenda 21/Sustainable Development. After hearing about UNA21 she decided she wanted to do a resolution (see inserted at bottom of email & as attachment) in opposition to UNA21 to move through the Republican Party structure. She was able to assemble many Republican Committee persons from other states to co-sponsor the resolution. I received this wonderful news today, Saturday, Jan 14th.

Unamended through the Republican National Committee! Now that is amazing! We all owe a debt of gratitude to this patriotic woman.

TN

Rep. Kevin Brooks of TN has submitted legislation that mirrors the RNC resolution that was just passed making the fight against ICLEI and Agenda 21 a top priority for 2012.

Today, 3/15/2012  the state of Tennessee passed by a vote of 72-23 HJR587.  The joint resolution and amendment is attached.  It is a first step in getting our state government to step up and fight back against Sustainable Development/Smart Growth/Comprehensive Planning etc etc.  It was a beautiful thing to witness.  The Democrats pummeled Representative Kevin Brooks but he stood his ground against their assaults and accusations.  He was also surrounded by 30 co-sponsors.  Again it was a beautiful thing to behold.  We are so very appreciative of this effort on the part of Rep. Brooks.
Feel free to take this resolution and use it for your state.  We are now going to work with Senator Mike Bell to create and pass the Senate resolution.  We also have a great property rights bill (HB3572) sponsored by Representative Womick that we are supporting.  Resolutions are nice but we need bills with teeth.     Resolution HB3572 (526)

The Board of Directors of The Mississippi Tea Party met with Governor Phil Bryant of Mississippi today to discuss the Legislative Agenda for 2012. During the meeting I presented Gov. Bryant with a copy of the RNC Resolution passed unanimously on 1/13 (attached) and suggested that we introduce legislation in accordance with the resolution to work to stop Agenda 21 and United Nations influence in our state. Gov. Bryant let us know immediately that he is on board and has committed to work with us to 1)Expose Agenda 21 and Sustainable Development as stated in the resolution 2) Reject Agenda 21 and its policies as stated in the resolution and 3) reject any funding associated with Agenda 21 as stated in the resolution. THIS IS HUGE as sustainable development is all over our state. We will expose it and show it for what it is and we will work to eradicate it in Mississippi.  I offered the Governor the MSTP Agenda 21 Committee and our website, www.StopAgenda21inMS.com, as a ‘go to’ resource for information and research on Agenda 21 for him and his staff.  Jennifer West
